♂ MOWGLI ~ Resident Since 2011

Oh Mowgli... this adorable giant fluffball really does live in a world of his own! Mowgli became a resident after he was found dumped on the side of the road as a puppy, and he has grown into such a wonderful dog. We can't bear the thought of him being a sanctuary dog all his life, he has so much love to give and such a gentle nature that he deserves to spend his days safe and secure, surrounded by his very own forever family.

Even though he is just a sweetheart in general and gets on very well with all other dogs, Mowgli is more than happy doing his own thing - which mostly involve digging ridiculously deep holes in his pen and hiding in them to escape the heat. There have been a few times when he has hidden himself so well we actually thought he had escaped! Despite being a free spirit and enjoying his own company, Mowgli is a total softie and absolutely relishes cuddle-time with any human that looks his way. If only he wasn't covered in dirt and mud most of the time due to his digging adventures, he would probably be getting snuggled by our volunteers all day long!

This lovely boy is a medium-to-large sized dog, with a thick, fluffy black coat complete with bushy tail and pointy ears. He is so mellow that he is one of the only dogs that goes on his daily walks without a lead - he loves exploring and sniffing around but he never strays far and always sticks with the group. In fact if he feels that he is not in the mood for a long walk he will simply head back to the sanctuary and wait patiently at the gate for someone to let him in.

We have a lot of love for Mr. Mowgli, and we are looking for the perfect home for him where he can enjoy exploring the outdoors as well as getting showered with love and attention. Due to his thick coat we would prefer to see him in a more temperate climate, but aside from that he gets along famously with everyone he meets (both 2 and 4-legged!) so we know he would be the perfect addition to any family!
