This handsome boy was born at the Sanctuary back in 2007. Nipper rules the roost, but he rules through finesse and awareness rather than through aggression. He has long lived on the ‘porch’ of our volunteer house rather than within the confines of the Sanctuary, and he goes out with every volunteer dog-walking party to keep a close eye on the surroundings. Nipper is the true gentleman of our sanctuary! Think 'Pongo' from 101 Dalmatians.
He is large dog with a slight build, and is a very healthy seven years old. Nipper enjoys human contact and interaction but isn’t a ‘petting’ type of dog. He will lie and rest his head on a leg and will stay that way without being stroked - he just enjoys the company! Nipper would best suit a family with large grounds for him to roam as he has never been enclosed - a farm type of environment would be the perfect choice for this loyal companion.
